OSCR offers a spectrum of services that may be tailored to meet individual circumstances. Services may be accessed by meeting with a Resolution Coordinator. ACR pathways may be accessed without submitting written documentation; FCR pathways require submission of a written complaint alleging a violation of the Statement.
Tips for Selecting a Conflict Resolution Pathway
If you are interested in meeting with an OSCR staff member to explore constructive ways to approach conflict without the other people involved in the conflict knowing that you’ve contacted a support resource, consider Conflict Coaching.
Mediation
Mediation provides a safe and confidential space for parties in conflict to:
- Talk privately about their thoughts, feelings, and experiences related to the conflict.
- Surface issues related to social identity that could be contributing to the conflict.
- Consider what actions could meaningfully resolve the conflict.
- Explore the possibility of reaching a mutually agreeable solution to the conflict.
- Negotiate an agreement that resolves the dispute.
