When you receive a letter scheduling an appointment with OSCR, you are encouraged to attend or contact OSCR to reschedule at a time that’s more convenient for you. The meeting is an educational one to give you information and options. Under the Statement OSCR is obligated to ensure that the University’s conflict resolution process is administered in a timely manner and in a way that protects the rights of complainants and respondents, while safeguarding the community. Therefore the resolution process may go forward even if you opt not to participate or respond.
Your first meeting at OSCR is an informational one in which a staff member will review what your rights are as a University student, explain the resolution process and your available options, and answer any questions you have.
